As President of Design One, Matthew oversees all operations for the growing IT company. An engineer by trade, Matthew has designed and implemented more than 200 Networks for law firms, real estate offices and other small businesses. Matthew consults with clients about their needs and how technology can help them serve their clients faster and better. He recently developed and installed a network system that provides complete and secure access for more than 200 remote users, with the capability to access and update a complex database. Matthew is a Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), a VMware Technical Sales Professional (VTSP) and a Certified Novell Engineer (CNE).
Allen founded Design One in 1981 to provide computer equipment, software, and support to legal and small businesses. In 1987, under his technical direction, the company installed a Novell network for a law firm in Rockville. Since then, Design One has become the first local company to provide complete network services and support to the DC-metro area. Allen has a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from UCLA and more than 50 years of computer design experience and several patents on computer equipment. He lectures and writes articles for local and national civic and bar associations on networking, document organization and management, and computer system configuration. Allen recently received his M.A. in Jewish Studies from Towson University.
Paul sets the technical direction for Design One. Since joining the company in 1989, he has installed several hundred Microsoft and Novell Networks. He has exceptional troubleshooting skills and our clients hold his technical expertise in high regard.
Paul received his technical training with the United States Air Force. Prior to joining Design One, he spent 11 years designing, testing, and installing sophisticated analog- and computer-based radio frequency systems for Watkins Johnson.
